Frequently asked questions
Is the rotation saved permanently?
Yes. Rotating in a PDF reader often only changes your view. This tool writes the rotation into the document, so it opens the right way up everywhere, including when printed or emailed.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Enter a range such as 2, 5-7 to rotate just those pages. Scanned documents often have a few pages fed in sideways, and this fixes exactly those.
What if a page is already rotated?
The new angle is added to whatever rotation the page already has, rather than replacing it. So rotating a page that is already at 90 degrees by another 90 gives 180 - which is what you would expect visually.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation only changes a page attribute. No content is re-rendered or re-encoded, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
No. The PDF format itself only supports rotation in 90 degree steps at the page level. Arbitrary angles would require re-rendering the page content as an image.
Is my document uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored.
