Frequently asked questions

What happens to transparent areas?

Transparency is preserved in the embedded image, but a PDF page is rendered on white, so transparent regions will normally appear white when viewed or printed.

Is this better than JPG to PDF for screenshots?

Yes. PNG is lossless, so text and UI edges in screenshots stay perfectly sharp. JPG would introduce visible artefacts around high-contrast edges.

Will the images be re-compressed?

No. PNG data is embedded as-is, so there is no quality loss. Because PNG is lossless to begin with, the resulting PDF can be large - compress it afterwards if needed.

Can I mix PNG and JPG files?

Not in a single pass here - this tool accepts PNG. Convert your JPGs with the JPG to PDF tool, then merge the two PDFs together.

How do I control page order?

Images become pages top to bottom in the list shown after you add them. Use the up and down arrows to rearrange before converting.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is assembled in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored.
