Frequently asked questions
Will resizing distort my image?
Not if you keep "Lock aspect ratio" enabled - changing one side updates the other automatically. Turn it off only when you deliberately want to stretch the image to exact dimensions.
Can I make an image larger?
You can enter dimensions bigger than the original, but enlarging cannot add detail that is not there. The result will look softer. For real upscaling you need an AI upscaler.
Does resizing reduce the file size?
Yes, usually a lot. File size roughly scales with pixel count, so halving both width and height typically cuts the file to around a quarter. If your goal is purely a smaller file, try the image compressor as well.
Is there a maximum output size?
Very large canvases are capped for safety. Browsers - especially on mobile - have a hard limit on canvas dimensions, and exceeding it silently produces a blank image. Outputs are clamped to stay inside that limit.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser. Your image never leaves your device and nothing is stored or transmitted.
